A set of brief presentations about astronomy and night sky observing will be featured at the May meeting of the Saint Louis Astronomical Society.

Each section will be an introduction to one facet of astronomy, planetary sciences, cosmology, or night-sky observing with binoculars and telescopes. Planned topics include types of astronomical objects, with some examples of their night-sky locations, a presentation on "grab and go" telescope observing and an overview of superstring theory and its role in setting the structure of the universe.
