The Year in Planetary Exploration

by

Mike Malolepszy

The past year has been a very successful one for planetary exploration. Several ongoing missions launched by the United States are still producing new results at Mars, Mercury, Saturn and the Moon. Several other nations have also been carrying out missions to the moon, Venus and Mars. A review of the most interesting finds and images will be done by Michael Malolepszy, past president of the St. Louis Astronomical Society and current planetarium lecturer at the St. Louis Science Center.
